RV Tour

2017 Georgetown 364TS pulling a 2014 Ford Flex

Quite a few of you have asked questions about this Big Beast (aka The Big B).

I wanted to take some time to welcome you into our home. So... take off your shoes, grab a cup a' joe or (as I prefer) a glass of wine, kick up your feet, unbutton your pants and get comfy.

A few key items about The Big B: She is a big gurl (the u is intended). She is 37ft long. She has 2 full bathrooms, a full size refrigerator and enough room to sleep 8. The jury is still out on that last bit as I can't imagine having 8 bodies in this thing. We finally did the measurements to determine how many square feet she is, too. She is a whopping 337 sq.ft.

Many have also asked if we have a car. We do and couldn't live without it! We tow our Funkmaster Flex behind our RV and have it in every place we park. We can't take this beast everywhere!

I made a few videos. The first one is right after we cleaned up. I'm talking pack-n-play away, dog crate outside, Edson and the kids hiding in the car and all was sparkly clean. As we all know that is the facebook version and two minutes later things were awry. Nobody's house looks like that all the time so I had to create a "real-life" video of the RV tour with kids included. Note: when the RV looks like that it drives me crazy! Living in a small space I am constantly tidying everything because one mess makes it all look messy. I do, however, admit to dishes always being in the sink. :) The third video shows what the RV looks like all closed up in preparation for a drive. It's always nice after a day of driving to get the RV parked and put the slides out-- it feels like a mansion. Watch the video and you'll see why.

Don't worry, these videos are short (and not produced by a professional :) and to the point. Be sure to watch them in order!

Hope you enjoyed The Big B. We like to call her home! Feel free to visit the website directly at www.peacinout.com and comment if you have questions about our little home or if you are just wondering what little miss is talking about in the videos.

(Update: A few of you have asked me about seatbelts. Good question! Both the benches and couch have seatbelts that are bolted to the floor. The kids are always buckled when we drive unless a potty break is in order. I am always the one doing the balancing dance trying to get snacks and drinks while driving.  I'll be sure to update the 3rd video next time we drive to give you a better view of what it's like to pack up and head out.)

  6. WHAAAT Paige! This is so fun! I love that you're doing this. I'm both surprised (because making a nontraditional choice is always a little surprising) and totally not surprised (because you always seemed like someone who follows her own drum and makes shit happen). I'm so happy to get to see a bit of your life! Big big hugs to you <3
