Reno was in Reno

Truth be told, Reno wasn't on the top of our must-see list. At least not the adult-list. However, this is a once in a lifetime trip and Reno had two requests: go to San Francisco and Reno. That's it. We felt we had to oblige.

It was a good few days in Reno. The worst part about it? The drive. It was horrendous. It started sleeting/snowing while we were driving on the mountain between California and Nevada. It was nuts. Our defrost wasn't working so I had to get unbuckled, get a towel and wipe the windshield as it started to fog up. Safety first (yeah, that wasn't the case here). We kept saying to Reno, "This is all for you, buddy!"

Anyway, we made it. We pulled up into the RV Park that had a very deceiving website and I was ready to turn around. We decided to stay for a shortened amount of time as we were not impressed. Nonetheless, we visited every Reno sign there was, walked the park along the river, fed some ducks and met some wave riders on the river and the cutest puppy ever. Reno really wanted to go to Circus Circus to the arcade, while Niko and Cayenne wanted to go to the automobile museum there. We split up and I took Reno to the arcade-- after all this is HIS place.

Hope you enjoy!

Our lucky break at the arcade! We happened to pass a man fixing one of the machines and he asked if Reno wanted some tickets. YES! Of course he did. Well, it really made Reno's day so I went and thanked the man and told him that. I explained we were visiting and that his name is Reno and all he wanted to do while there was go to Circus Circus. The man immediately handed over 500 tickets. The below picture is Reno's reaction. It was his best day ever.

One of the free shows at Circus Circus- so fun!

We talked to this guy who told us Reno comes alive when it's nice out.

The kids watching all the fun

Some puppy love

The water was SO high. They had areas roped off that weren't safe. You can see where the wall is supposed to keep the water out.

Reno overlooking his city.
We spent a day in Tahoe while in Reno and it was the best part of the trip in my opinion. Reno might say otherwise. Stick around for the Lake Tahoe post!
